  Q. How do I attach images to my data records?

  Q. The "admin utility" is not connecting. I am getting a "connection timeout" or "host refused connection" error message. What is that all about?

A. This usually means that you are not able to reach our application server due to a network issue. Our "admin utility" uses TCP/IP port 2997 for it's communications. If you are using the admin utility behind a corporate firewall, then they probably have port 2997 closed and are not allowing any application to use it. If this is the case, you will need to check with your networking department to see if they will open up that port for you.

  Q. The item's image(s) are not showing up on my website. Instead I am getting [X]. What is the problem?

A. It might be the image format that you saved your scan/image as. Many scanners default to the TIF or TIFF format when images are scanned. Web browsers will not display TIF images; as a result, the image will appear on the page as [X]. I suggest that you use the JPG format for your images.

  Q. It takes forever for my images to appear within my web pages.

A. This is probably due to the file size of the images. One factor that can greatly affect the file size is the DPI setting that was used when the scan was performed. (DPI = Dots per inch). I suggest using 150 DPI.

  Q. The admin utility is showing weird graphics for the screen background images. What could be wrong?

A. As images are used by the admin utility, they are cached into a folder on your computer's harddisk. Sometimes the index for those files becomes confused. Once the index is out-of-sync, you will get images in weird locations. Please refer to this LINK on how to reset your cache: How to Reset my image cache
